Within month's of the release of her soulful fiery debut, ‘Wildfire’ – Megan Wilde was chosen as winner of an LA Music Critic Award, a string of international songwriting contests, a few coveted Tv/Film Music Licensing Deals, a National College Radio Deal, and performances at iconic places like Lincoln Center and Key Arena. Megan made her debut television performance in 2017 – which was chosen to play on every single Alaska Airlines flight - and she is scheduled for her first international fashion runway performance. With a scorching voice that knows no boundaries, a fiery on stage presence, and a robust and bodacious soul for crafting music - Megan has received glowing national and international press for her bold, sultry, and heartfelt singing – which often draws comparisons to a gang of heavy hitter's including: Aretha Franklin, The Black Keys, Beyonce, Adele, Hozier, and Elle King.
Megan B. Wilde was a school yard nickname given to her for her talent for climbing trees, getting in fights with boys, and running around covered in dirt with wild untamed lioness hair. You could say she’s always been a bit rough around the edges. Growing up in a small town outside of Chicago never suited her style, and at 15 she found her ticket out. She was accepted into one of the world’s finest performing arts schools – Interlochen Academy of The Fine Arts. Day in and day out she studied music and art from the masters. Her teachers quickly learned that while she was talented – ball gowns, opera, and being neat as a button was not her thang. Once you’ve been seduced by the brash, rusty, soulful voices – there is no turning back.
Fake ID in hand, Megan says she ”deliriously roamed the south side of Chicago desperate for any music that shook my bones and howled to the darkest parts of my soul” Her performances around the city quickly earned her the nickname ‘Baby Blues”. Traveling around the country and soaking up music, Megan somehow landed in Seattle with just a suitcase, a dream, and an independent boss lady attitude.
As the independent artist, composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer for her debut album, “Taming The Wilde” (soon to be released) - Megan was able to bring on board four Grammy, Emmy, and Oscar winners. From Michael Brauer (8 time Grammy Winning Mixer and Producer), Brent K (19 #1 singles and albums – Lana Del Rey, Kanye West, Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga), Arthur Piggery (Producer the music of 8 Oscar Winning or Nominated films - Sia, String, Norah Jones, Joshua Bell), and Passenger String Quartet (Composed the Strings to Macklemore’s Grammy winning Album “The Heist”) – Megan has proven herself to not only be a stand out artist, but a woman with a mind and knack for business. After the successful launch of her debut EP “Wildfire” - Megan gained experience behind the camera with TV performances, top of the line music videos, and live concert filmings. Megan received hands on experience in the fashion industry by designing and branding her own edgy and glamorous costumes, being the creative director for photoshoots, and giving live performances on the runway. She partnered with four different companies for sponsorships through the direction of Industry All Access. As the owner of her own publishing company – B Better Have My Monay – Megan works intimately with the music directors of Victorias Secret, Nike, Fox, HBO, and many others who license music out to Film and TV.
